Happiness is a mystery, like religion, and should never be rationalised.

Funny Peculiar

Funny when they're not yours

Funny stuff isn’t always happy. In fact funny can just as easily lean towards the bizarre. Recently nine Amish men from Kentucky USA were jailed for not paying fines.

Apparently, not wanting to violate their calling of plainness, the men had refused to fasten reflective orange triangles to the back of their horse drawn buggies…

Whilst in Sweden a moose was feeling a bit funny after eating too many rotten apples. The fermenting fruit left the moose drunk, causing it to get caught in the apple tree, resulting in a humane rescue operation mounted by the Swedish police.

Considerably less funny are the findings of US researchers suggesting that for every twenty-five company bosses, one is a fully-fledged psychopath. Hiding behind their authority and manipulative control gives such psychopaths the perfect position to exercise cold-blooded control and be rewarded for it.

Meanwhile, it’s funny what it takes to catch a criminal, but a stray set of false teeth put the bite on a felon in Brazil. When a witness to a bag snatch saw something funny on the ground, he found the falsies that had fallen from the thief’s mouth during the attack. The police were notified and supplied as a…dental record.

Armed with his dentures and a description, police were able to bring the suspect, Milton de Jesus, in to test the teeth. Like Cinderella’s foot in the slipper, de Jesus’s dentures were a perfect fit so he confessed; foiled by his falsies.
