What was it that fired koolaid user's up so much?

Fired Up With Koolaid Passion

July 30th, 2012 ~ Est. reading time: 1 min, 57 secs

Getting fired up by koolaid can be dangerous.

The title “Fired Koolaid Passion” could just as well be “Much Ado About Nothing.” Apparently, in late May, two men in the suburb of Brightmoor in Detroit, Michigan, got into a rather heated exchange about which of them made the best “koolaid” (for those unfamiliar, Kool-Aid is a brand of cordial or concentrated fruit-flavoured drink that’s popular in America). Eyewitnesses said the men became irate, drew firearms, and started shooting at each other. As it happened, neither were hit. However, two innocent bystanders weren’t so lucky as both sustained gunshot wounds resulting from the shootout. Read the rest of this entry »

Can you be happy and not know it?

If You’re Happy And You Know It You Do All Three

July 28th, 2012 ~ Est. reading time: 1 min, 51 secs

If you’re truly happy then you’ll know it.

If you’re happy and you know it you have peace. For those who have the exquisite pleasure of knowing why they do what they do, happiness is a byproduct that lingers throughout their life. Not as a constant state, because living has its ups and downs. But more as a background that infuses everything with calm and reason. Unlike the “put on a happy face to impress” approach, there’s a depth to inner peace. That’s one reason so few ever show it. Read the rest of this entry »

How do you end up choosing the best Twitter feeds to follow?

Best Twitter Feeds To Follow

July 26th, 2012 ~ Est. reading time: 2 mins, 43 secs

What are the very best twitter feeds to follow for you?

I’ve taken to twittering lately, so wondering which are the best Twitter feeds to follow suddenly has significance. Of course, if you don’t tweet this, or Twitter about that, it will all seem pointless. That’s okay. You don’t have to engage in every single social medium to connect with people. Just continuing to relate as you already do, can be more than enough. Still, if you are unfamiliar with this Twitter business, read through regardless; even if it’s only to get a feel for the thing. And, if you happen to be a black belt in tweeting, please bear with me (you can add a dash of your own enlightenment by leaving a comment too, if you choose). Read the rest of this entry »

Consider this: can other people see where you go if you use wifi?

Can Other People See Where You Go If You Use Wifi?

July 25th, 2012 ~ Est. reading time: 2 mins, 4 secs

Can others really see where you are when you use wifi?

If you want to know “Can other people see where you go if you use wifi?” you need to consider the worse case scenario. On the face of it, yes, it’s not hard to know you’ve been online. And using different wifi spots can be followed. Though I’m by no means a computer networking expert, my computer wise friends (who read those impossibility thick books on incomprehensible topics like PERL, PHP, and MYSQL, for kicks) tell me that regardless of how many layers of security you use, wifi is never totally secure. What is it about people on the take?

People on the Take

July 24th, 2012 ~ Est. reading time: 2 mins, 12 secs

“Have I got a deal for you?!”

Sigh! People on the take are so wearisome, aren’t they? You can expect everything they say to be calculated to achieve a result, twist an arm, or try to turn a profit. It’s a corruption of relationship that has insidious effects. Read the rest of this entry »
